Our client was experiencing 200% turnover among its drivers, many of whom went to work for a competitor. Making the situation worse, the manufacturer was trying to recruit drivers for four locations because its staffing partner was unable to recruit or hire remotely.

The manufacturer realized that it needed a staffing partner who had the expertise to connect with quality drivers. It also wanted a partner that could provide a benefits package that would attract and retain well-qualified drivers.

Assigning a single, dedicated team member to recruit and hire for our client helped us to ensure candidate quality and the specific needs of four of our client’s locations. Pleased with our success, the client expanded our work to 12 locations.
To attract quality drivers, we helped our client align its messaging to what we know works.
Drivers want to feel appreciated and supported, so we invested time in getting to know candidates and drivers on a first-name basis.
To show drivers that they are valued, we created a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance and retirement plans. 
For greater profitability, we recommended that the client switch from “teams driving” to single drivers to keep trucks filled and in operation at a more efficient rate.
